A weekend of firsts!
The first cruise on the first SSC cruising calendar this Easter weekend. The weather at the start of the weekend was glorious so a good omen for the rest of the trip….
John & Linda, John & Jenny, Martin & Linda, Susan & Paul with guests Simon & Sarah.
Each boat arrived at Titchmarsh Marina and once all settled in the ‘crews’ assembled for the first of the weekends get-togethers on Caprica for a Saturday supper. A curry prepared by Chef Paul followed by cheesecake and then a cheeseboard brought by John & Jenny. The drink flowed and laughter was the theme for the night accompanied with many tales to tell.
Easter Sunday heralded an invitation to John and Linda’s for a splendid afternoon tea.
Sadly, the weather was not as clement on Bank Holiday Monday but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the next organised cruise to Burnham on Crouch on 21st – 23rd April.
It was lovely to have your own space yet come together for a catchup, sharing of knowledge and mostly having a good laugh and lots of fun!
